Vacu-Boom (patent pending) is an ingeniously simple, yet amazingly
effective solution to today's environmental concerns. For the first
time ever, it is possible to achieve 100% capture and recovery
of waste water runoff from washing operations, both indoors and
outdoors, with a minimum of effort. With Vacu-Boom and the proper
accessories, waste water can be completely captured and pumped
directly to a suitable nearby point of discharge or to a mobile
storage tank for transport and later discharge.
The Vacu-Boom has
been designed, perfected and proven with extensive field testing
under all operating conditions for over four years. It is made
from the finest raw materials and carefully assembled and tested
to the highest standards of quality. The Vacu-Boom system is
designed for long life and ease of use. Setup time is minimal
and portability
is simple.
The Vacu-Boom consists of a flexible sidewall made
with a special type of fabric backed closed cell foam material
that
will not absorb liquids. The sidewall is supported and reinforced
with strong molded ABS plastic ribs. The bottom edges of
the sidewall are designed to seal tightly against any hard surface
as vaccuum
is created inside the semi circular hollow tube. Port openings
along the bottom edges (one side only) inhale waste water
into
the hollow boom to be conveyed by airflow through the tube
to a wet vaccuum recovery tank. The basic boom mid section
is 5 ft long
and is open at both ends which allows it to be joined to
other 5 ft sections to form operating lengths of up to 60 ft
(longer
custom lengths available). The sections can also be attached
to end caps and center taps. Vacuum hoses from the wet vacuum
recovery
unit are connected to the end cap and center tap (40 ft or
more length). All pieces are quickly and easily assembled and
diassembled
with snap on clips. For maximum convenience in transporting
a disassembled Vacu-Boom, we recommend the specially designed
tote bag.
Applications
for the Vacu-Boom continue to be discovered. It can be
used anywhere that recovery of water or contaminated water
is essential.
Recovery
rate with recommended wet vacuum recovery units is up
to 20 GPM. Known applications for Vacu-Boom include mobile washing
operations,
outdoor vehicle or equipment washing, indoor washing
or spill containment, asbestos water jet removal operations, and
recovery
of spillage
of hazardous materials compatible with the Vacu-Boom
materials of construction.
